01Who we are & what this covers

GET DRIP IV LIMITED, trading as DRIP Mobile IV Hydration ("DRIP", "we", "our"), provides mobile IV hydration and wellness services in Jamaica. We are responsible for the personal information we collect and use for those services.

This policy covers getdripiv.com, booking and enquiry forms, consultations, patient intake and consent, the My Care portal, WhatsApp, email, and care provided by our doctors and registered nurses. It does not replace clinical consent or our booking terms.

02Information we collect

We collect the information needed to arrange and provide safe care: your name, date of birth, contact details, treatment location, and emergency contact where appropriate; relevant medical history, medicines, allergies, screening answers, assessments, consent, treatments, observations, and follow-up notes.

We may also hold appointment details, invoices and payment status, enquiries, feedback, communication preferences, and basic account or device information needed to operate and protect our website and patient portal. Photographs and testimonials are handled separately, as described below.

03How we use your information

We use information to respond to enquiries, assess whether treatment is appropriate, arrange visits, provide and document care, coordinate medical oversight, follow up about treatment, process payments, maintain safe systems, address complaints, and meet legal or professional obligations.

The lawful basis depends on the activity and may include providing services you request, meeting legal duties, protecting health or safety, and consent where required. Health information receives additional protection and is handled only under an appropriate lawful condition. We may be unable to treat you safely without essential medical information; optional marketing consent is never a condition of care.

04Who can access or receive it

Access is limited to people who need information for their authorised role, including treating doctors, registered nurses, the Medical Director, and appropriate DRIP administrative personnel. Some clinicians work with us as independent contractors and remain bound by professional confidentiality obligations.

We use service providers to support clinical records and our digital services, including Elecare, website and communication tools, and payment processors. Providers should receive only information needed for their role and must handle it under appropriate safeguards. We may disclose information when lawfully required, including for patient safety or regulatory purposes.

A hotel, employer, event organiser, group-booking contact, or person paying for treatment does not automatically receive your medical history or treatment notes. We disclose clinical information only with proper authority or another lawful basis.

We do not sell personal or clinical information.

05Clinical records & messages

Clinical teams record relevant consent, treatment and follow-up information through our authorised clinical systems, including Elecare. Our My Care portal may provide patient access to relevant information. Access and sharing are subject to each person’s authorised role.

We may contact you about bookings, appointments, payments, care and post-treatment check-ins. WhatsApp and ordinary email can create privacy risks, especially on shared devices or backed-up accounts. Please avoid sending unnecessary medical records, identity documents or payment-card details through these channels. Relevant clinical information received may be added to your patient record.

06Payments, website & cookies

External payment providers may handle card payments under their own privacy notices. DRIP uses the records needed to confirm charges, issue receipts, process refunds and meet accounting obligations. Please do not send full card numbers or security codes through messages.

Our website and portal may use cookies or similar technology for sign-in, forms, security and basic operation. If optional analytics or advertising tools are used, they must be disclosed and controlled as required by law. Patient records and intake responses must not be sent to advertising platforms.

07Marketing, photos & testimonials

Promotional emails, broadcasts and other marketing require an appropriate separate permission. You may unsubscribe or tell us to stop marketing at any time; essential booking and care messages may continue.

We ask separately before using an identifiable photograph, video, testimonial or treatment story for publicity. Refusing marketing or photography will not affect your care. Withdrawal applies to future use, subject to lawful limits and material already distributed.

08Security & information outside Jamaica

We aim to protect your information using appropriate access restrictions, confidentiality requirements and technical and organisational safeguards. No online system or message service can be guaranteed completely secure; please protect your login details and tell us promptly about suspected unauthorised access.

Some technology suppliers may store or access information outside Jamaica. DRIP will review the relevant locations and apply safeguards required by Jamaican data-protection law before such processing or transfers.

09How long we keep information

We retain information only for approved business, clinical and legal purposes.

Clinical records and consents: generally retained for at least 7 years. Enquiries and booking communications: full clinic message logs may be kept longer for care.

Where the law requires longer retention, or a complaint or legal claim is ongoing, records may need to be kept longer. We securely delete, anonymise or dispose of records when retention is no longer justified.

10Your rights, questions & updates

Under Jamaica’s Data Protection Act, 2020, and subject to its conditions and exceptions, you may ask what personal information we hold, request access or correction, object to or request limits on certain processing, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. We may need to verify your identity and may have to retain clinical records despite a deletion request where law or professional duties require this.

For a privacy request or concern, contact dripjamaica@gmail.com or WhatsApp 876 230 7994 and mark your message “Privacy”.

You may also complain to Jamaica’s Office of the Information Commissioner. We will update this notice if our practices or legal requirements change, and show the new revision date.
